National Change Of Address
NCOA, short for National Change Of Address process is the process of passing a mailing list of postal names and addresses against the USPS NCOA Move database, and updating the list of postal address changes where available. Typically, the process corrects addresses as far back as 48 months, but with the New Move Requirements of the USPS, most mailers are can use the 18 month NCOA to update their database.
The 48 Month National Change of Address maintains all the submitted address changes within the last 4 years. Submit your file to this system and you receive your direct mail mailing list back with corrected addresses. The 18 Month National Change of Address is the same as the 48 Month, but doesn’t maintain address corrections beyond 18 months ago.
